Single location in the municipality of Assmannshausen in the German Rheingau wine growing region. The south-southwest-facing vineyards are situated at an altitude of 80 to 330 metres above sea level and have a slope gradient of 50 to 65%. They comprise 14 hectares of vineyards. The medium to deep soils consist of quartzite and slate layers with clayey parts, which are partially interspersed with loess in the lower part of the northern part. ThePinot Noir variety is mainly cultivated here. Shares in the vineyard are held, for example, by the Chat Sauvage, Georg Müller Stiftung, G.H. von Mumm, König Klaus & Ursula, König Robert, Krone Künstler Gunter and Strieth Thilo.
