Early Nutmeg

The white grape variety is a new variety between Bouquet grape(Bukettrebe) x Cortiller Musqué Précoce(Muscat Précoce de Saumur). Synonyms are Frühmuscat, Frühmuskat Oberlin, Misket Oberlin, Muscat Hatif, Muscat Oberlin, Muskat Früh, Muskat Früh Oberlin and Oberlin's Muscat. The cross was made by the French breeder Christian Oberlin (1831-1915) in Colmar(Alsace, France). The vine produces white wines with Muscat. In 2016, no stock was recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).
