Cortese Nero

The red grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Corteza Negra and Corteza Nera. The parentage is unknown; whether there is a relationship to the white variety Cortese is not known. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it is a parent of the French variety Mandrègue. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
