Coloraillo

The white berry grape variety originates from Spain. The wines are used in country wines. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2014, it is a presumably natural cross between Marufo x Tempranillo. It should not be confused with the Alarije variety (with synonyms Coloraillo Gordo, Coloraillo Pequeno). The red-berried variety is cultivated in Castilla-La Mancha; 109 hectares of vineyards were recorded here in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
