The white grape variety Berries originates from Spain. The wines are used in Viña de la Tierras. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2014, it is probably a natural cross between Marufo x Tempranillo. It must not be confused with the Alarije variety (with synonyms Coloraillo Gordo, Coloraillo Pequeno). The red-berry variety is grown in La Mancha; in 2016, 109 hectares of vineyards were registered here (Kym Anderson).

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
