Cinema and TV films

The subject of wine and viticulture is also a popular material and setting for cinema/TV entertainment and documentary films in the film industry. Many of these works have a special appeal because they lead through beautiful wine-growing areas with fascinating landscapes full of often terraced vineyards and, as a side effect, also impart wine knowledge. Some have a marketing purpose that can hardly be overlooked with regard to the strongly booming wine tourism. They are meant to whet the appetite for visiting the wine-growing regions and their wineries, which is what many tourism institutes have specialised in by now and offer organised tours with commented wine tastings including food, guided vineyard walks, the possibility to buy wine products and visit wine museums.

Sigi Hiss

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
