The winery is located in the municipality of Blaignan in the Médoc (Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux). It was last classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 2003 in the Bordeaux classification according to the old system, which is no longer valid. The windmill on the property, which dates back to 1734, is also emblazoned on the bottle label. The estate is owned by the Courrian family, which has documentary evidence of its presence in the Médoc since 1605. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vines, half of which are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and half with Merlot. One third of the long-lasting red wine is matured in new barriques. The second wine is called "Château La Landotte".
