Producer description of "Château Le Châtelet"

The winery is located in in the area of the same name (Bordeaux). It was sold by the Quantin family to Pierre Becot in 1942. Today it is owned by the Berjal family, who are related to Becot. After classifications (first in 1955) and declassifications, the farm was again classified as "Grand Cru Classé" in 2012. The vineyards cover 3.3 hectares of vineyards planted with Merlot (79%) and Cabernet Franc (21%). The long-lasting red wine is aged for 12 to 22 months in 50% new barriques.
