The winery is located in the Médoc region (Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux). It should not be confused with the Château d'Arche winery of the same name in Sauternes. It was last classified as a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur in 2003 in the Bordeaux classification according to the old system, which is no longer valid. It has been owned by the Mähler-Besse family empire since 1994 and is now managed by Stéphanie Mähler-Faguer. The vineyards cover nine hectares and are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Merlot (40%), Cabernet Franc (5%), Petit Verdot (5%) and Carmenère (5%). The long-lasting red wine is matured for 12 months in barriques, one third of which are new.
