Bonbonne

French name (there also lady jeanne) for a large balloon bottle made of glass with a volume of about 25 to 50 litres. These containers are used for ageing (as for example in France for the Vin doux naturel), but also for the neutral storage of wine and spirits, especially in southern countries like Italy, Spain and Portugal.
