Beetle

Order (Coleoptera) of insects with around 250,000 species, which often have a colourful skin armour with firm skin wings. Development takes place in complete metamorphosis (egg, larva, pupa, full insect). Some beetle species occur as pests of grapevines, while others act as beneficial insects (as predatory beetles). Beetle species that occur in vineyards are the Asian ladybird (multicoloured ladybird, harlequin ladybird), borer beetle, weevil, June beetle,cockchafer, ladybird, vine weevil, vine weevil, vine weevil (leaf beetle) and weevil.
