Frequently used name or name component for many grape varieties in Greece (see also under Asprouda). No independent variety of this name is listed in the VIVC catalogue and in the statistics of Kym Anderson. Aspro is a synonym for the grape varieties Asprouda, Aspro X, Savatiano, Tsaoussi and Xynisteri.
