Alexander Winter

The red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between vines of the species Vitis labrusca x Vitis vinifera. The selection of the hybrids was carried out in 1884 in the US state of Ohio by A. S. Elexander. It must not be confused with the variety Alexander.
