The white grape variety originates from the Canary Islands(Spain). Synonyms are Albillo Chriolle and Albillo Grano Chico. According to DNA analyses, it is an independent variety that differs from the other Albillo varieties. However, the parentage (parentage) is unknown. It is only cultivated in small quantities on Tenerife, for example. In 2016, however, no stock was reported (Kym Anderson statistics).
