Vin de France

New wine designation (wine from France) for the lowest French wine quality level valid since August 2009 due to the EU wine market regulation. It replaces the former designation Vin de Table (table wine). There are wines without and with indication of the grape varieties and/or vintage. The competent authority for these wines is not the INAO, but the Anivin de France association. See also Quality System and France.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
