Hungarian barrel type (formerly fauch Kassaier or Kaschauer Fass) with a volume of 200 to 220 litres, which is used today in the production of Tokaj. The name Szerednye hordó (hordó = cask) is derived from Szerednye, where the type used to be produced. This municipality, formerly part of Hungary, is now located in the far west of Ukraine (Ruthenia).
