The winery is located in the municipality of Naumburg-Roßbach (Neuenburg Castle area) in the German wine-growing region of
Saale-Unstrut. As area wine queen of Saale-Unstrut and later German wine queen, Sandra Hake got to know and appreciate viticulture from 1992 to 1994 and also infected Volker Frölich with her enthusiasm. After training at the State Training and Research Institute in Bad Kreuznach and various internships in renowned wineries in Rheinhessen and Rheingau, the company was founded in 1997. In addition to farm-gate sales, there is also the possibility to enjoy the wines and wine-accompanying dishes in an estate bar. Since April 2005, there has been a newly built sales and tasting room. From Easter to December, numerous events take place there, such as culinary wine tastings on the themes of "fish and wine", "asparagus and wine" and, in November, "red wine evening by the fireplace". The vineyards cover ten hectares in the single vineyard sites
Edelacker (Freyburg) and
Steinmeister (Naumburg-Almrich). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Kerner, as well as the red wine varieties Dornfelder and Portugieser. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and noble brandies are also produced.
