Producer description of "Winzerhof Gussek"

The "Winzerhof Gussek" is located in the town of Naumburg in the German wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut. It was founded in 1993 by Andre Gussek, who had been cellar master at the Kloster Pforta winery for twenty years until 2002.

Vineyards & grape varieties

The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Dachsberg (Kaatschen), Edelacker (Freyburg), as well as Sonneck and Steinmeister (Naumburg). Two thirds of the vineyards are planted with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner (with old vines planted in 1927), Kerner and Traminer, and one third with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Cortis and Blauer Portugieser.
