The "Winzerhof Gussek" is located in the town of Naumburg in the German wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut. It was founded in 1993 by Andre Gussek, who had been cellar master at the Kloster Pforta winery for twenty years until 2002. The vineyards cover six hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Dachsberg (Kaatschen) and Steinmeister (Naumburg). They are 70% planted with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau (30%), Riesling, Silvaner (some vines planted in 1927), Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Kerner, Traminer and Pinot Gris, and 30% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and Portugieser. The majority of the wines are vinified dry. The red wines are matured in barriques. In suitable years, sweet wines are also produced. Every year on the penultimate weekend in June, a wine and farm festival is held at the winery, to which friendly painters, photographers, draughtsmen and collectors are invited to present their view of culture around wine to the guests.
