Re-tasting

Any wine evaluation, no matter how professional, can only be a snapshot of the current state of development of a wine. Since a wine develops or changes in the course of its life cycle (for the worse or for the better), it is necessary to taste the wine again or, if necessary, several times. In this process, the forecasts made during the first tasting are checked, and the changes are determined and documented. Since such a process is very time-consuming, most wine critics do without a repeat or multiple tasting. This is regularly done (for some of the wines) by Robert Parker and his team, or by the German wine internet platform wein.plus.
