Perlan

Common name in the Swiss canton of Geneva for wine made from the Chasselas variety. It is a local term with no wine law implications and is hardly ever used anymore. Perlan corresponds analogously to the term Dorin in the canton of Vaud. In contrast, Fendant is protected by name in the canton of Valais.
