The white grape variety comes from Italy. Synonyms are Nocchianello a Spiga di Granturco, Nocchianello Peloso a Spiga di Granturco and Nocchianello Peloso Spiga Grano. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. Nothing is known about a possible relationship with the red variety Nocchianello Nero. Nocchianello Bianco is a parent of the variety Verdello di Bracciano. The early maturing vine yields white wines rich in alcohol and acidity with fruity aromas. It is cultivated in Tuscany. In 2010, however, no stock was declared (Kym Anderson).
