Nocchianello Nero

The red grape variety (also Nocchianello di Gazzaretto) comes from Italy. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. Nothing is known about a possible relationship to the white variety Nocchianello Bianco. The vine produces red wines with soft tannins and aromas of blackberries and cassis. It is cultivated in Tuscany. In 2010, however, no stock was reported (Kym Anderson).
