The white grape variety (also Moscato Nazareno) is a new cross between Moscatel de Hamburg (Muscat d'Hamburg) x João de Santarém (Castelão Francês). The cross was made in Portugal by the breeder JJosé Leão Ferreira da Almeida. In 2016, 40 hectares of vines were reported in Brazil (Kym Anderson statistics).
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
