The red grape variety is a new variety between Muscat d'Hamburg x Csaba Gyöngye. Synonyms are Muscat de Pleven, Muscat Plevenski, Muskat Plevensk, Pleveni Muskotaly and Plevenszkij Miszket. The crossing took place in Bulgaria in 1952. The variety is mainly used as table grape. The berries have a muscat tone. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
