The winery in the municipality of Forst is located in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. It has the ecclesiastical licence (authorisation) of the diocese of Speyer as a producer of wine for the Mass. Since 1962 the vineyards of the Pfarrweingut Forst have been cultivated. A country hotel is attached. Owner and cellar master is Klaus Lucas, administrator Hans Lucas. The vineyards with 16 hectares of vines are situated in the best locations such as Bischofsgarten, Pechstein, Stift and Ungeheuer in Forst and Herrgottsacker in Deidesheim. They are mainly planted with Riesling (14.5 hectares) as well as small quantities of Pinot Blanc, Dornfelder, Pinot Noir, Portugieser and Rieslaner. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and distillates are also produced.
