Producer description of "Weingut Familie Lazarus"

The winery is located in the municipality of Langegg-St. Stefan at the foot of the Reinischkogel in the Austrian wine-growing region of Western Styria. There is an adjoining wine tavern and guest rooms. The winery is run by Walter Lazarus. The daughter of the house was the Styrian Wine Queen Helene l from 1992 to 1994. The vineyards cover almost ten hectares of vines at 570 metres above sea level. The Schilcher grape Blauer Wildbacher clearly dominates with over 90%, the rest is shared by the varieties Gelber Muskateller, Morillon, Müller-Thurgau, Sämling 88 ( Scheurebe ), Weißburgunder ( Pinot Blanc ), Welschriesling and Sauvignon Blanc.Premium wines are Schilcher KlassikSchilcher , Schilcher Kabinett Elegance and Schilcher Kabinett Harmonie. We also produce , Schilcher Kabinett Elegance und Schilcher Kabinett Harmonie. Es wird auch Schilcher Schilcher sektSektand Frizzante, grape juice and brandy.
