Jami Negro

The red grape variety originates from Spain. Synonyms are Ami, Jami, Jami Noir, Malvasia Tinta, Rochal, Rochal Negro, Rojal, Royal, Royal Rojo, Royal Tinta and Royal Tinto. Nothing is known about the descent (parentage) or a possible genetic relationship to the white variety Jami. It must not be confused with the Rojal Tinta variety. The vine is used as a wine grape and table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
