The winery is located in the community of Bad Kreuznach in the German Nahe wine region. It was founded in 1900 by the brothers Anton and Carl Finkenauer under the name A. Finkenauer Söhne. By division in 1925 the company Anton Finkenauer was created. Today it is managed by Hans-Anton Finkenauer. The vineyards comprise almost nine hectares of vineyards in the Kreuznach locations of Brückes, Forst, Hinkelstein, Kahlenberg, Osterhöll and Rosenberg. They are 60% planted with Riesling, as well as the varieties Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Scheurebe and Pinot Blanc.
