single vineyard in the municipality of Bad Kreuznach in the German wine-growing region of Nahe. It was first mentioned in documents as early as 1476. The southeast-facing vineyard at 110 to 145 metres above sea level with a slope of 5 to 40% covers just under six hectares of vines. The soils consist of weathered Rotliegend and sandy loam. Riesling is the main variety cultivated here. The Anheuser Paul, Finkenauer Anton and Reichsgraf von Plettenberg wineries, for example, have shares in the site.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
