Important wine-growing community in the German wine-growing region Nahe in Rhineland-Palatinate with the four parts Bosenheim, Ippesheim, Planig and Winzenheim. It is also known for its spa and the Seitzwerke (filter technology). The vineyards in Bad Kreuznach and north of it belonged to the Bad Kreuznach area until 1993, the rest formed the second area Schloßböckelheim. Since then, both have been combined to form the single Nahetal area. Bad Kreuznach belongs to the large vineyard Kronenberg. Well-known single vineyards are Brückes, Forst, Galgenberg, Gutental, Hinkelstein, Hofgarten, Höllenbrand, Hungriger Wolf, Kahlenberg, Kapellenpfad, Kauzenberg, Krötenpfuhl Mollenbrunnen, Mönchberg, Narrenkappe, Osterhöll, Rosenberg, Steinberg, St. Martin, Tilgesbrunnen and Vogelsang. Well-known wineries are Anheuser Paul, Emrich-Montigny, Finkenauer Anton, Forster Georg, Korrell Johanneshof, Reichsgraf von Plettenberg and Staatsweingut Bad Kreuznach.
