Felsensteyer

single vineyard in the municipality of Niederhausen in the German wine-growing region of Nahe. The southeast to south-facing vineyard with 30 to 60% slope covers 4.5 hectares of vines. The soil consists of hanging loam with grusy portions of Tholey slate. Riesling is the main variety cultivated here. The Anheuser Paul, Dr. Crusius, Mathern and Schneider Jakob wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
