The winery is located in the municipality of El Bonillo (province of Albacete) in the Spanish region of Castilla-La Mancha. It used to operate under the name "Bodegas y Viñedos Sánchez Muliterno". The family business was founded in 1984 by Sánchez Muliterno, who planted the first vineyards of "Finca El Guijoso". The first vintage marketed was in 1993 and the total land area is around 3,000 hectares. In addition to viticulture, cattle breeding and olive growing are also practised. The company is a member of the Castilla-La Mancha Wine Tourism Association and rents out guest rooms for tourists. There is also a hunting lodge where various events such as business meetings and tasting courses can be organised. The winery has the internationally recognised ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management) standards. The entire electricity supply is provided by renewable energy from solar panels.
