Dišeca Ranina

The white grape variety comes from Croatia. Synonyms are Dišeca Belina, Dišeca Ranina Bijela, Dušuca Ranina, Petrinjska Belina, Petrinjska Bijela, Petrinjska Ranina, Petrinjska Ranina Bijela, Urbancic, Urbani Blanc Musque, Urban Grape and White Musked Urban Grape. There are great morphological similarities with the Bouvier variety. It is an all-female grape variety. The late ripening vine is therefore often cultivated mixed with the Škrlet variety for fertilisation. It yields white wines with a subtle muscatel tone. The variety has been cultivated for centuries in the Moslavina and Pokuplje areas of central Croatia. In 2016, no stock was declared; in 2010, two hectares were still cultivated (Kym Anderson).
