Cordon

The term has two meanings in viticulture:

Vine

French term (engl. cord or ribbon) for the perennial, woody part at the upper end of the vine stem (engl. cord or ribbon), as well as a vine training; see under cordon.

Sparkling wine

French term for the ribbon of rising bubbles in a champagne glass; see sparkling wine.
