The white grape variety (also known as Invernassa) originates from Italy. Nothing is known about its parentage or a possible genetic relationship to the red variety Coccalona Nera. It was a parent of the Malvasia Bianca di Vignale variety. The variety is mainly used as table grape No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
