Special device for opening a bottle of champagne or a sparkling wine bottle closed with a classic cork. First the agraffe is removed. Then the tongs are placed around the cork and it is carefully loosened. Now a cloth napkin is placed around the neck of the bottle and the cork is slowly unscrewed with the tongs or by hand. The napkin serves as a protection against possible foaming over. A spectacular form is the so-called Sabrieren (champagne heads).
