The white grape variety originates from Romania. The parentage is unknown. A peculiarity are the partly reddish berries on a cluster or a vine. According to the Romanian amateur traffic light historian Tiberiu Onuțu, the vine could be the origin of all Busuioacă varieties. In many of these varieties, there is a genetic relationship or parent-offspring relationship to Muscat Blanc.

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
