The white grape variety is a new breed between Welschriesling x Furmint. Synonyms are Bussana, Dalmasso 12-37, Incrocio Dalmasso 12-37 and Incrocio Dalmasso XII/37. The crossing was made in 1937 in Conegliano (Veneto) by the Italian breeder Giovanni Dalmasso (1886-1974). The late maturing vine produces fruity white wines with aromas of jasmine, pears and apples. It is cultivated in the regions of Piedmont and Friuli Venezia Giulia. In 2010, 12 hectares of vineyards were designated (Kym Anderson).
