The red grape variety comes from Italy. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. It is uncertain whether it is really a separate variety (there is no Bonarda Grande in the VIVC catalogue and in Wine Grapes ). In the statistics of Kym Anderson, however, stocks under this name in the year 2000 were mainly in the regions of Molise and Sardinia, but also others. At that time the total area under vines was 536 hectares. Possibly it is one of the many grape varieties with the name part Bonarda (see a list there).
Using the encyclopaedia is not only time-saving, but also extremely convenient. What's more, the information is always up to date.
