Organic farming

A form of production (also known as organic farming, ecological farming, organic agriculture, alternative agriculture) for the production of food and other agricultural products. These are produced using methods that are as environmentally friendly as possible in accordance with specified guidelines. The preservation of biodiversity (variety of species) and the extensive avoidance of pesticides play an important role here. Perma-culture is a special form with additional aspects. See under ecology.
