Zechwein

Designation (also everyday wine, consumer wine, drinking wine, tap wine) for a simple but flawless wine without special quality, usually intended for quick drinking enjoyment. In the past, the term "Zechen" was used to describe a generally pronounced to excessive consumption of wine in company. There are, however, a multitude of other names, none of which have any significance in terms of wine law. See also under bulk wine and draught wine.
