The red grape variety comes from Italy. Synonyms are Bonarda Viretta, Zane and Zanetto. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. There is also nothing known about a possible relationship to one of the Bonarda varieties. In the year 2016 no stock was shown (statistics Kym Anderson).
