Vranken-Pommery

The champagne house based in Epernay in Champagne was founded in 1976 by the Belgian Paul-François Vranken. The main brand is Vranken, but many brands were subsequently taken over. These are Demoiselle (1983), Barancourt (1986), Bricout-Delbeck (1990), Charles Lafitte (1996), Heidsieck & Co Monopole (1998), Diamant Bleu (1999) and the merger with Pommery (2002). The company also has holdings in Portugal (Porto) and Spain.

The vineyards cover a total of 2,600 hectares of vines in the best locations in Champagne. A large part is owned by the company, the rest is cultivated by contracted grape growers and the grapes are delivered. The traditional Champagne varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier are cultivated and processed. A wide range of champagne brands are produced under the above brand names.
