A dialectal term used in Austria (grape berry) for the grape, whereby the "n" is pronounced more like an "m" or even swallowed (weimber or - with an elongated "i" - weiber). A single grape or raisin is called a "Weinberl", whereby the "n" is pronounced more like an "m" or is also swallowed (Weimberl or Weiberl). But this is also the name for a protection child or informant. To "weimberl" means "to ingratiate oneself with someone", so to speak "to want to be the raisin in the cake".
