Producer description of "Società Agricola Vigne Matte S.r.l."

The winery is located in the municipality of Rolle, a district of Cison di Valmarino (province of Treviso) in the Italian region of . The farm is managed by Giovanni Rui, and Paolo Citron is the oenologist and cellar master. In 2003 a newly built, modern cellar was put into operation, which is partly located inside a hill. The terraced vineyards cover 35 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 300 to 350 metres above sea level. They are planted with the red wine varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Nero, and with the white wine varieties Glera, Chardonnay, Bianchetta Trevigiana, Perera and Verdiso. The grape material, reduced by multiple , is selected at harvest time in order to use only healthy and optimally ripened material.
