Trial wine

Designation for a wine in which the use of new oenological processes is to be tested for experimental purposes in the course of a large-scale trial in accordance with EU regulation. A large-scale experiment exists if the treatment method has already been tested in laboratory experiments and the preliminary results have shown it to be harmless from the point of view of human health.
