The winery is located in the community of Auernhofen (Maindreieck area) in the German wine growing region of Franconia. Until 1984, only arable farming and cattle breeding were practised, but this year vineyards were acquired. From 1992 Albrecht Stahl began to develop his wines himself. A wine restaurant is attached. Son Christian, parallel to his training as a winemaker, a study in Geisenheim and years of practical experience in the Peter Jakob Kühn winery, took over the outdoor operation and vinification in 2000 and is now managing the business. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the Main valley (areas Maindreieck, Mainviereck), in the area Steigerwald, as well as in the Franconian part of the Tauber valley. They are planted with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Scheurebe, Bacchus and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Regent, Black Riesling and Tauberschwarz. Since the 2004 vintage, no predicate denominations have been used. The wines are<40 hl/ha) produziert.
