Soldaia

The white grape variety originates from Ukraine. It is named after an old name of the town of Sudak in the Crimea. Synonyms are SD-56 and Soldaiya. In Crimea, it is used as a blend in fortified wines, e.g. by the Solnechnaya Dolina (Sun Valley) winery. It is also used as table grape. No population was recorded in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
