Shiva

The Indian deity (also Shiva = lucky man) is one of the main gods of Hinduism together with Brahma, who is considered the creator, and Vishnu, the keeper. Shiva is responsible for the preservation as well as the destruction of the world. When Schiva's dance stops, the world will end, but since his dance never stops, the world will never end. Common nicknames are Mahadeva (Great God), Nataraja (King of Dance), Bhairava (the Terrible), Rudra (the Wild) and Vishwanatha (Lord of the All). He is also mentioned together with Man-Sotti-Wrata and Prithu as being responsible for wine and viticulture respectively. See also the keywords wine gods, wine saints and viticulture customs.
