The winery is located near the city of Zaragoza in the DO area of Cariñena in the Spanish region of Aragon. It was founded in the 1980s by the Ramón Reula family under the name "Finca Ayles". In the process, several plots of land were united that were part of a 3,300-hectare farm in the Middle Ages. The wines were produced under different labels, these were Finca Ayles, Bodegas Aylés and Señorío de Aylés. In 2010, the wholly owned Ayles vineyard was classified as Vino de Pago (highest Spanish wine quality level) and therefore the winery name was changed. A new winery building was inaugurated in 2000. Inmaculada Ramón Reula is responsible for production and Ana Ramón Reula for quality management.
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
