Montanar

Producer description of "Azienda Agricola Denis Montanar"
The winery "Alessia e Denis Montanar" is located in the municipality of Malborghetto in the Italian wine region Friuli Venezia Giulia. Denis Montanar began in 1989 with the winegrowing, which is since 1996 consistently operated according to organic guidelines. The vineyards cover an area of 20 hectares. They are planted with the varieties Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Verduzzo Friulano, Friulano(Sauvignonasse), Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The fermentation is done with natural yeasts, the wines are only partially filtered before bottling. In 1995 the brand "Borc Dodòn" was created, the name derives from a Friulian community. The two IGT wines "Uis Neris" (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and "Uis Blancis" (Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Verduzzo Friulano) are pressed under this brand.
